A few days after they moved there father died. A few weeks after that his mother margaret died of the same disease. A short time later there grandmother Annie Young died of old age. So that left one person to take care of them there uncle Peter. But they still got to live by Almonte. When they moved there they still had things to do there was a school a blacksmith shop stores they had oter kids to play with. Duck on a rock was his favorite game he played.

James love sports and was good at them to he was a hard worker. But he did not try his hardest at school his grades were not very good when he was fifteen he went to work as a lumberjack cutting down trees five years later he stoped and changed his life. James wanted to go to high school and collage and finish fast.

James Naismith had to have his new game done in two week he keep on thinking and thinking then he started thinking about some thing that does not have hard tackling and he did not want to have some one running with the ball but he liked the idea of throwing the ball. Then he remembered the game duck on a rock and yelled " I've got it!" Then got up and got a few peach baskets and used the as a goal! He got to groups of men and started playing the strange game with a basketball the date was December 21, 1891 He called it basetball.

2. It can be batted with hands not fist.
3. No running with hte ball.
4. hold ball only with hands.
5. No holding, pushing, and no tripping the other teams players.
6. Follow the rulles when a foul gets called.
7. Make three fouls and the other team gets a goal.
8. When the ball goes in to the basket it's a goal.
9. When the ball goes out of bounds the first person touch it throws it in.
10. The umpire calls the fouls.
11. The referee is the judge of if it is a goal.
12. the game is two fifteen minute halfs.
13. The team with the most points once time ends wins.
